But, if you are caught smoking in public, there might be more significant consequences.

Typically, you should be able to get 1 gram of decent quality cannabis for 10 Euros. However, it is very likely that you, as a tourist, will get ripped off, so be very careful. It is a good idea to check the quality of the weed before buying it. Most of the time, the quality will be quite average. However, it is also possible that you buy a bag of poor quality or even fake weed from the street dealers. 

Where can you get cannabis in Linz?

Look for the street dealers- this will be your best bet. You will find them around parks, the stations, and even just on street corners. You can also ask the young locals for some help. Bauernberg Park and Donaupark are two popular spots where you will be able to spot dealers easily.
