Tolerance Level Guesstimation [1= very illegal, 10= completely legal] – 5

Although cannabis is illegal in Naples, when it comes to weed, you won’t get into too much trouble if you have a small quantity on you just for personal use.

Naples Cannabis Laws

Cannabis is wholly illegal, and the Government has made strict laws against any activities related to it. However, in reality, if you have a minimal quantity on you, or even if you are caught smoking it in public, you might not get into too much trouble.

Law Enforcement

Of course, if the cops catch you with a large amount of cannabis on you, rest assured, you will be in trouble. However, in most cases, if you have a small quantity, or even if you are found smoking it (and not causing a public scene), the cops will generally let you off with a warning, or maybe a fine.

Keep in mind that if you are caught distributing it or growing it, you will find yourself getting into much more trouble, so stay away from these activities.

Prices, Quality and Types of Cannabis

The price you pay for a gram of weed or hash will depend on your dealer- there is no telling. Of course, if you are a tourist, there are high chances of you getting ripped off.

As for the quality, most of it is quite bad, honestly. The dealers here are known to ‘cut the weed.’ This means that they spike it with opiates and medicines, etc.

The different types of cannabis you will find here are:

  • Moroccan hash
  • Afghani
  • Turkish
  • Indoor grown weed

Where to find marijuana in Naples?

While there are a few well known ‘spots’ (Secondigliano) where you can find dealers, it is not a good idea to venture out there alone, especially as a tourist, as you might find yourself in deep waters. It is best to ask for help from friendly locals if you want to get your weed from these risky spots.

Torre dell’annuziata, Marano, and the outskirts of Guigliano are some places where you will find dealers around, but be careful. There are cops everywhere, and before you know it, they will sneak up on you if you are not too cautious during your weed buying adventure.

Another prominent place to look around is the more tourist spots, the beaches, and even street corners.
