If you are a repeat offender, the fine will increase significantly, and if you have more than 4 kg on you, you will be arrested and sent to prison.

As for law enforcement in St. Gallen, you don’t have to worry too much. The police are quite relaxed and will generally just let you be- if you are not creating a scene or you are not distributing weed.
